Living by the coast is a luxury we’ve never known, so we’re soaking it up as much as we can. We headed out to Old Orchard Beach to take a stroll on the famous sands. It was a chilly day, but the sun was shining and kept us warm enough.

This was the first time Tucker got to see the ocean, so it was a special little trip for all of us. We’re still working with him on interacting with other dogs and proper leash behavior – he’s been spoiled as a Covid puppy and then an Idaho dog. In Old Orchard Beach, dogs are only allowed from Memorial Day to Labor Day, so it was extra fun to bring him along.

We chased waves, hunted seashells, and took photos, of course. We love Tucker’s Carhartt harness for adventures. It helps us control him, but it’s comfortable for him. It’s super durable, too – I think we’ve had it for about three years now and it doesn’t have any signs of wear.

Most of Old Orchard Beach is closed in the offseason, all the little shops and stands are boarded up for the cold weather. I understand why it’s so popular – a stunning strip of beach, lots of cute shops, and tons of places to stay lure in millions each summer.

If there’s one thing that Jake loves, it’s construction. We could see the multi-million dollar home he’s building from miles away, which was super fun. I always find his little eyes wandering to the buildings around us, so I’m never surprised when he’s not paying attention to me on walks haha.

It was a great little trip, and the perfect excuse to wear my new NY Yankees hat. You can find it here on Amazon! I’ve been loving browns, creams, and blues this season, basically just beachy tones now that we live in Maine ๐
Talk to ya soon,
Adriana
