Hello again! This past weekend, Jake, Tucker, and I took our first camping trip of the season and our first camping trip in New England! We popped on over to Conway, New Hampshire in the White Mountains to do some dispersed camping!

We love dispersed camping in National Forest’s for a few reasons. First, it’s free. I think you’re allowed to camp for 16 days in one place at a time–at no charge! I think campgrounds are fun when you’re camping with a large group or with a few different age demographics, but if your group is smaller with little needs, dispersed camping is a great option. Secondly, Jake and I use our time in the wilderness to be away from other people and take the time to relax and breathe. Having trees and hundreds of feet between campsites is really nice. Third, Tucker can roam free! At campgrounds, Tucker would need to be on a leash, but at dispersed campsites, he can stroll around all he wants.

So, we started our trip by setting everything up. We got the tent set up, a fire going, and got started on dinner, I took some selfies.. typical camp activities. 🙂 We had hot dogs for dinner and had chips and dr. pepper, of course.

Accidentally caught our outfits haha.

And then it was time for bed! We got to the site at about 6:30, so we only had a few hours of daylight to enjoy. But we had a great sleep, and the next morning we explored Conway, and saw Mount Washington from a scenic overlook. I work for a boat company and we have locations on two different lakes in two different states that you can see Mount Washington from! Visiting is on our to-do list, but it’s another 50 minutes away from Conway to go, so we decided to do that on another trip.
Until next time,
Adriana
